"The journey is never ending..."

Welcome,
I'm Obi!

You might know me from the football field, or perhaps from somewhere online. But there's much more to me than that. Take a look around and let me know your thoughts!

"Adversity introduces a man to himself..."

About

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, I've experienced it all.

At 17, I lost seven full-ride scholarship offers after suffering a fractured and dislocated ankle.

But that wasn't the end of my story. I walked on to Oklahoma State University and earned playing time as a true freshman walk-on.

Later, I transferred to a university in a state I didn’t even know existed—Marshall University in Huntington, WV. There, I became a three-year starter and team captain.

For my final year, I transferred again, this time to the University of Oklahoma. I earned a starting receiver spot, only to test positive for COVID-19 the Wednesday before game one.

After two weeks in quarantine, I returned to practice—only to suffer a season-ending injury on my very first day back.

I share all of this to remind you: no matter what happens,

Life keeps going.

Adapt to whatever challenges life throws at you. Those who learn to adjust and persevere are the ones who come out on top.
