View ProjectFrom the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, I've experienced it all.
At 17, I lost seven full-ride scholarship offers after suffering a fractured and dislocated ankle.
But that wasn't the end of my story. I walked on to Oklahoma State University and earned playing time as a true freshman walk-on.
Later, I transferred to Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where I became a three-year starter and team captain.
For my final year, I transferred to the University of Oklahoma, earning a starting receiver spot before facing new challenges with COVID-19 and injury.
After two weeks in quarantine, I returned to practice—only to suffer a season-ending injury on my very first day back.
I share all of this to remind you: no matter what happens, life keeps going.
Those who learn to adjust and persevere are the ones who come out on top.
